CETIM is a multidisciplinary technology center with over 10 years of experience and significant growth in the last years. Comprised of more than 85 professionals, CETIM is considered an R&D reference in the circular economy, providing services in digital industry, eco-bio technologies (air and water), advanced materials research, and technological services like physical-chemical and environmental studies.
Their R&D projects are carried out in facilities of more than 2,500 square meters with 9 laboratories and pilot plants. CETIM continues to grow and is looking for a Principal Investigator for their Wastewater R&D group.

What you need to excel at:
Managing people and managing relationships- you’ll need strong interpersonal, organizational and above all leadership skills as you’ll be pitching projects within the organization and outside of it (Horizonte Europa, Misiones, LIFE, etc.) as well as managing up to 6 team members (technicians, project managers and PhDs).
- European project funding framework- as you’ll be involved in assisting the Head of Area with their project workload as well as writing funding proposals for your own projects.
- Managing projects involving various technologies (including but not limited to bio-remediation, membranes, electrochemistry, eco-based solutions etc ).
- Dealing with pressure- deadlines can be moved unexpectedly, priorities can change and you need to be able to adapt your scheduling to beat the complications.
- Creativity- interdisciplinary projects are various and encouraged. Indeed, you will have full liberty to conceptualize, initiate and execute new R&D projects as an integral part of this role.
Requirements:
In order to join this band of very skilled and knowledgeable people, you’ll need a PhD in Wastewater Treatment or a relevant area.
At least one year of postdoctoral experience in wastewater management is required, as is an excellent level of both English and conversational Spanish.
